Yoga with Healing Methods

Yoga changed my life in many aspects and introduced me the balance of life: body, mind, and spirit.  My practice is meant to share my experience.

Yoga Therapy

I am a former office worker who suffered from multiple office syndromes until I discovered yoga over 10 years ago. Yoga changed my life in many aspects and introduced me the balance of life: body, mind, and spirit. Through a decade of practice, I have met several experienced yoga teachers from across India. Each of them introduced me to different techniques and principles of yoga. They inspired me to take a yogi path. After years of practice, I travelled to the heart and the world capital of yoga: Rishikesh, India. There I underwent advanced training that included over 500 hours of intense practice. I earned expertise in Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa, and became a pupil of a famous Hindu monk, Swami Omkaranada, who taught me a yoga philosophy of life. After completion of my practice in India, I was motivated to introduce a change and promote better health in myself and others. I work to inspire students to practice the middle way principle and guide them on the path to the cessation of pain and suffering through yoga. The Vinyasa class is designed to be fun and energetic, and introduces various sets of asana (yoga postures) for balance and improvement of self-stamina, flexibility, and strength.

Stretching Lover

What happens if you don’t stretch? Your body is full of functional muscles that keep you moving with your regular activities. They have been working very hard and if you don’t move them they become shortened and tight. When you call on the tight muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend fully. That will put you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage. The injured muscles may not be strong enough to support the joints, which can lead to joint injury and lead to more problems. Yoga involves dynamic movements incorporated with your breaths that heats up the muscles and makes you more aware of yourself. Yoga focusses on alignment, strength, flexibility, and balance; all things that help you become more powerful and lead to optimal physical function. Regular yoga stretching will help enhance athletic performance, decrease the likelihood of injury, minimize muscle soreness, and improve range of motion. These benefits will give you greater ability to move freely and a lessen susceptibility to muscle and tendon strain injuries. This class can be customized to individual needs.

Functional Vinyasa Yoga

Yoga is more than moving the body into different postures. It is truly therapeutic movements that can identify musculoskeletal imbalances and weaknesses. Functional vinyasa yoga will strengthen your weakness and promote a path to healing, wellness, and optimal physical function. This class will help you explore more advanced anatomy, deeper self-awareness and understanding, and movements on a continuum of healing therapy.
